LEGAL COMMITTEE

This committee will be working on our legal issues. This committee will also be consulting and coordinating with land use and environmental legal counsel.

PLANNING DEPARTMENTS & ZONING COMMITTEE

This committee will be working on the Zoning Approval process, including review and response to the Draft EIR (Environmental Impact Report). This committee will be responsible for meeting with the various city and planning agencies, including Councilman Zine, Mayor Villaraigosa, Mulholland Review Board, LA Planning Dept, etc, and coordination for the Planning Hearings.

POLITICAL ACTION COMMITTEE

This committee will be working with politicians that are involved in the process, and/or that are sympathetic to our cause. They will also be coordinating any lobbying efforts that we undertake. This committee will also be coordinating with the efforts of Calabasas City, Calabasas Homeowners Associations, and other communities and organizations that have an interest in this development.

CONSERVATION & ENVIRONMENTAL COMMITTEE

This committee will be coordinating with all agencies and organizations involved in protection of the environment and conservation of trees, wildlife and open space, such as Santa Monica Mountain Conservancy (SMMC), Mountains Recreation and Conservation Authority (MRCA), LA Dept of Rec & Parks, LA Dept of Public Works, Dept of Fish & Game, and the EPA and Army Corps of Engineers. They will also be researching the Ahmanson Ranch, along with other open space cases.
(Note: The SMMC & MRCA are trying to acquire the Nicholson property and the DWP reservoir property,

WEBSITE & ONLINE CONTENT COMMITTEE

This committee will be handling both websites and coordinating online content. The websites are www.saveoaksavanna.org, and http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Save-Oak-Savanna

RESEARCH COMMITTEE

This committee will be researching the past and present complaints and lawsuits filed against the developer or property owner. This committee also assists the other committees on needed research. This committee will also be coordinating with the legal committee.

TRAFFIC COMMITTEE

This committee will be handling the traffic impact from the development.

MEDIA COORDINATION COMMITTEE

This committee will be coordinating with the media, such as newspapers, magazines, TV and Radio stations. (Many articles have been published on Save Oak Savanna.)

NEIGHBOR INFORMATION & MEMBERSHIP COMMITTEE

This committee will be coordinating the printing and distribution of Information Packets, Flyers, and Signs, along with other information distribution to the neighborhoods. This is the committee that the Team Leaders (Block Captains) work with. This committee will also be maintaining records on our CONFIDENTIAL membership in a database and mailing lists. This committee will also be assisting and coordinating a letter writing campaign.

FUND RAISING COMMITTEE
This committee will be coordinating all fund raising efforts.
